A story emerged on Saturday that Mourinho, who left Chelsea by mutual consent on Thursday, had dinner with Roma emissaries at a hotel in London.

It is reported representative Pini Zahavi was present with Roma mediator Charlie Stillitano.

“It’s rubbish, I was in Boston all week,” President Jim Pallotta told Il Messaggero.

However, today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport insists that’s because Pallotta took part in the meeting via a phone call.

Meanwhile, Pallotta also hinted that Garcia’s fate has already been sealed.

“I hope Roma win against Genoa, but any decision I make on anything can never depend on just the result of a single game.”
