Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta says that 'patience and awareness' have helped the club rise back up the table.

The Bianconeri started the season in terrible form, but yesterday's win over Carpi saw them move within three points of leaders Inter.

It was their seventh league win in a row and ensured that Juve go into the winter break in fourth place and still in the hunt for the Scudetto.

"What has changed? Patience and awareness," Marotta explained to Radio Rai.

"Allegri's group has responded to our project. The Coach has great professionalism, practicality and in the previous year has shown great quality by bringing home great results – and let's remember the moment he arrived at Juventus.

"Football is something that burns everything with incredible ease and the criticisms are harsh, without properly evaluating the work of the club, thus risking negative judgments.

"The ability of the President was to understand the situation, the strength of the team and the Coach.

"There were some difficult objectives that were eliminated. Results also fell because of injuries, from the conditioning preparation for the Supercoppa in China.

"We assembled a squad with 10-12 players arriving from different leagues or teams with less pressure.

"All these factors have led to these difficulties, but the directors haven't acted on instinct and mood. Rather by objective assessments beyond the pitch."
