Italian sources claim Lazio are in negotiations with Manchester United for Felipe Anderson, but there is no sign of a deal.

This week English papers reported that United had offered £35m for the Brazilian – around €48m.

They had already been heavily linked with the 22-year-old over the summer, but Lazio resisted all proposals for their young talent and extended his contract to 2020.

This week English papers reported that United had offered £35m for the Brazilian – around €48m.

They had already been heavily linked with the 22-year-old over the summer, but Lazio resisted all proposals for their young talent and extended his contract to 2020.

Now this latest offer is a huge figure, but Sky Sport Italia claim Lazio still want €60m for Felipe Anderson (£44.1m), but are prepared to negotiate.

Sky Italia also maintain so far the talks have been held between intermediaries rather than the two clubs directly, which is slowing the process down.

This season he has scored five goals and provided three assists in 25 competitive games for the club.

Last term the Brazilian bagged 11 goals and 10 assists in 32 appearances, but can be infuriatingly inconsistent.

It is worth noting that last season all 11 goals and nine of the assists were all within a streak of just 15 games between December 2014 and April 2015.

There has been a similar pattern this campaign, as all five goals have been crammed in a five-week period between September and October.
