Genoa’s appeal against Diego Perotti’s three-game suspension has been rejected, and Inter won’t appeal Felipe Melo’s ban.

The Grifone appealed the three-game ban given to the winger, after he lashed out with an elbow during the defeat to Bologna.

The court of appeals has today announced that the appeal has been rejected, “dismissing the appeal brought by Genoa”.

Perotti will therefore miss the derby against Sampdoria and the trip to Atalanta, having already been absent for the defeat to Roma prior to the winter break.

The statement also confirmed that Inter have opted not to appeal the ban given to Felipe Melo for a karate-kick challenge on Lucas Biglia.
