Sampdoria striker Eder looks forward to 'playing a trick' on Juventus and identifies Gianluigi Buffon and Paulo Dybala as the greatest threats.

The Blucerchiati will be counting on the Italian oriundo to lead the team in tomorrow's mission impossible against the Old Lady, at 18:45 UK time.

“I think winning the derby gave us a boost in terms of morale,” Eder told Il Corriere dello Sport. “It was an important match for us and our supporters and we'll come to the Juventus game with enthusiasm, and with the hopes of playing them a little trick.

“Juve are the team to beat because they won the last four Scudetti thanks to the mentality created by [Antonio] Conte and sustained by [Max] Allegri, but we'll try to interrupt their streak of eight successful games.

“Their strength lies in the solidity of their group. Buffon, [Andrea] Barzagli, [Leonardo] Bonucci, [Giorgio] Chiellini, [Claudio] Marchisio and the others have all played together for several years, and they're good at passing on their winning mentality to the new arrivals too.

“Who would I take away from them? As a striker I'll say Buffon, who is superb. But right now Dybala is in great shape. It's hard to mark a player like him, who has such moves and technique.”

When asked about his odds to become the season's top scorer, Eder bowed out to Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain.

“He is the real phenomenon of this championship. When I can, I always watch Napoli's games to study his movements. He's one of the strongest strikers in the world.”
