The Avellino forward and Italy Under-21 international was expected to arrive at Sassuolo this week with a future option for Juventus.
“Among the various offers we are evaluating for Marcello, there is the one from Sassuolo, but they’re not the only club interested,” agent Gaetano Fedele told Radio Marte.

“We do hope to conclude a move to one of these clubs over the next few days. I brought my best friend and greatest professional Paolo Cannavaro to Sassuolo, so I have long believed in their project. Now everyone wants to go there.
“If Eusebio Di Francesco leaves, he is destined for a big club.”
