Levante are reportedly in pole position for Fiorentina’s Giuseppe Rossi, after Genoa pulled out.

The forward has struggled to break into Paulo Sousa’s team this season, and is believed to be looking for a move this month.

According to Calciomercato, the imminent arrival of Alessio Cerci and the signing of Suso means the Grifone are no longer interested in Pepito, who needs game time if he want to go to Euro 2016.

Rossi is therefore being linked with a return to Spain, where he had a successful spell with Villarreal, with Levante thought to be favourites for his signature.

However, Nikola Kalinic’s slump in form may mean that the Viola opt to keep the striker until the end of the season.
