Lazio and Napoli owners Claudio Lotito and Aurelio De Laurentiis and Milan vice-President Adriano Galliani are reported suspects in a tax evasion inquiry.

Reports from La Repubblica emerged today that the Naples public prosecutor’s office has opened an inquiry into tax evasion and false invoicing in Italian football.

Lotito, De Laurentiis and Galliani have been named as suspects along with the likes of Modena Coach Hernan Crespo and PSG winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Lotito, De Laurentiis and Galliani have been named as suspects along with the likes of Modena Coach Hernan Crespo and PSG winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Searches are taking place this morning, conducted by deputy prosecutor Vincenzo Piscitelli and prosecutors Stefano Capuano, Vincenzo Ranieri and Danilo De Simone.

It is believed that the Italian finance authorities are searching for documents in Milan’s offices.
