Ignazio Abate warned “it’d be a big mistake for Milan to underestimate Alessandria” in tonight’s Coppa Italia semi-final.
The semi-final first leg kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin at 20.00 GMT.
“Alessandria run a great deal and play with intensity, so this is a game we must interpret well from the very start,” full-back Abate told Milan Channel.

The minnows are the first side from Lega Pro – Italy’s third division – to reach the semi-finals since Bari in 1984.
“It is a Coppa Italia semi-final and winning this trophy is our objective. We must play tonight’s game as if it was a one-off and not one of two legs.”
Many stars are still expected to be rested ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash with rivals Inter.
“The Coach is keeping us on our toes and we must only think about Alessandria. It would be a big mistake to underestimate them.”
