Sampdoria have officially announced the signing of Slovakian youngster Milan Škriniar.

The 20-year-old defender has joined from MŠK Žilina, who finished second in the Slovak Fortuna Liga last season.

“UC Sampdoria announces the outright signing of Milan Skriniar from MŠK Žilina, born in Žiar nad Hronom, Slovakia on 11 February 1995,” a statement on the Blucerchiati’s website read.

The player, who can also be deployed in midfield, has four goals in 18 League appearances so far this season.
