Mihajlovic declared after Milan’s 1-0 Coppa Italia semi-final win over Alessandria that Balotelli and Kevin-Prince Boateng were not ready to face Inter.

“I think what we saw on Tuesday proved they aren’t in good shape,” reiterated the Coach in a Press conference.

“I told Balotelli to celebrate when he scores a goal, but it’s just not in his nature. He’s a good lad and he might seem as if he doesn’t care, but that’s not the case.

“It’s like when you are with a woman and want to tell her you love her, but you can’t say the words. I hope Mario will change this attitude, because others think he looks angry and it’s not helpful. Being a football player is the best job in the world.”

As Luiz Adriano is injured, M’Baye Niang is expected to start just days after he was the subject of a Leicester City proposal.

“I spoke to him, he never wanted to leave Milan.”
