The Luiz Adriano saga takes another twist as Milan announce that he won’t be called up for the Palermo match on Wednesday.
The Brazilian came very close to a move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning before a last-minute turnaround earlier this month.
There was believed to be interest from other clubs in the league such as Guangzhou Evergrande, but this morning reports said Milan had rejected an approach.
The Italian transfer window is minutes away from slamming shut, but other leagues have different closing dates.
Milan Channel, the official television channel of Milan, announced this evening that Adriano wouldn’t be in the squad to face Palermo.
The news is a fresh suggestion that the striker could still head out of San Siro even after the January window is closed in Italy.
