‘Milan have improved so much’

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic says Milan “have improved so much, from every point of view”.

The Rossoneri beat city rivals Inter 3-0 on Sunday night, and are now just six points away from a Champions League spot.

“Are we more confident? Results help, especially if you beat teams who are above you in the table,” Mihajlovic told assembled media in his Press conference ahead of the trip to Palermo.

“In the first half of the season we lost to a lot of these teams. We’ve improved so much, from every point of view.

“That win should have the effect of uncorking a bottle, let’s wait until tomorrow to see what’s inside.

“We definitely have to get our heads on to Palermo quickly. If we don’t do well in Palermo then we can’t talk about the derby anymore.

“These results have raised the lads’ confidence, we have to repeat the same performance in terms of concentration, ruthlessness and will to win. If we do that, the result will follow.

“It’s a difficult game for us, and an important one in terms of the table, but we have all the qualities to beat them.

“They’re a good team though, from the midfield up they have top players.”
