Gian Piero Gasperini fears Genoa lost much more than they gained in a draw with Lazio, as there are serious injuries.

The 0-0 stalemate saw Cristian Ansaldi and Leonardo Pavoletti limp off clutching the back of their thighs.

“I think it’s very difficult we’ll see either of them on Sunday against Milan. In fact, I fear they’ll be out for two or three weeks, as those looked like thigh strains,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“This is an important point because we were coming off a difficult week, facing Fiorentina and Juventus. They were intense games against big clubs and we paid for it with these injuries.

“We tried to win, but in the end I think a draw was the right result. We have to find a balance, as both Alessio Cerci and Suso like to play on the right. It might not have been a very entertaining match, but it was hard-fought.”
