“It is always an exciting moment to score a goal, but the important thing is that the team has got back to playing at a certain level,” Mauri told Mediaset Premium.

“We allowed a bit too much at the back, but in general it was a good performance. We hope to continue like this.
“We know that we are a good side and have been playing below our capabilities, but hope we changed gear today.”
The Stadio Olimpico was even emptier than usual for this Thursday evening kick-off, partly because some sections were closed following racist chanting.
“We really miss the fans and hope they come back soon.”
