Gian Piero Gasperini blamed distracted defending for the early Carlos Bacca goal as Genoa fell 2-1 at Milan.

“Bacca should not have been left unmarked there. Milan kept the ball on the corner and it was a situation we had worked on in training, yet we still conceded a goal,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“Today we were missing some important players and had other new ones, but still held out pretty well overall. In the first half we had some good opportunities.

“The early goal made it easier for Milan and then they doubled their lead from distance.”
