Juventus are reportedly pressing to extend Andrea Barzagli’s contract before it expires in the summer.

The Italy international defender’s current deal runs out in June, meaning that he’s free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club.

However, Tuttosport reports that Juve director Giuseppe Marotta is making efforts to extend the 34-year-old’s deal after an impressive performance against Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain.

The newspaper believes that an agreement is yet to be found and that Patrice Evra is also awaiting news on his future in Turin.

Barzagli has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Bianconeri this season.
