Leonardo Bonucci did not suffer any serious knee injury in training this morning, Juventus have confirmed.

There were fears that the Italian international centre-back could be sidelined for some time after twisting his knee.

However, the player has now undergone a series of medical examinations which have eased the club's concerns.

Scans have shown no ligament or meniscus damage, meaning he suffered only a light sprain to his left knee.

Bonucci will thus spend the next few days resting before gradually being reintegrated into the squad.
