Former Inter winger Andy van der Meyde has warned Milan target Anwar El Ghazi not to move to Italy.
The Rossoneri have been heavily linked with the Ajax prospect, but were unable to get him in the January window after Luiz Adriano’s move to China collapsed.
It’s been suggested that a deal could be revived in the summer, but a former Nerazzurri star warns against a Serie A switch.
“Italy is not for you,” Van Der Meyde told El Ghazi on his show ‘Bij Andy in de auto’ [‘In the Car with Andy’].
“I was wrong to go to Inter, Italian football is too tactical. I wasn’t able to defend, but they forced me to do it.”
For his part, El Ghazi responded that he was happy at Ajax.
