Sampdoria Coach Vincenzo Montella invites fans to forget about Eder, who will play against them and for Inter tomorrow night.

The most prominent Blucerchiati striker of this season moved to the Nerazzurri ranks in the winter transfer window, and now the two teams are set to collide as tomorrow's game kicks off at 19:45 GMT.

“Compared to our objectives, we're both a little bit behind,” Montella told the Press. “It'll be a delicate game for the both of us.

“We can't afford to lose. We've picked up less points than we deserved, considering the way we played.

“I'm not sure what type of Inter I'd prefer to face. They're a bit behind compared to their ambitions. They're fighting for third place and they can still meet their objectives. They certainly have some great players in their squad.

“Eder? He's an ex, now. There's little to regret. He made his decision and some considerations were made. From our side, we're grateful for what he has done.

“[Niklas] Moisander yesterday took part in the first training with the team, and [Lorenzo] De Silvestri in the second. They're available, albeit in a so-so condition.”

Inter recently closed doors and retired into a training camp, but Montella wouldn't consider doing the same thing for his team.

“No, here we're working well. The lads are very professional, so for the moment I see no need. If it becomes necessary, we'll consider it.

“[Carlos] Carbonero? He's a player who gave us greater balance. He got injured in the last day of the transfer market and there was no way to replace him.

“Compared to other teams of our level, ours is a team that scores a lot but also concedes a lot. We need to improve only on our shots on goal, because we often make it into the box, but we don't shoot enough.”
