Manchester United have reportedly joined the hunt for Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi with a €28m bid.

The 22-year-old is enjoying a fine season with La Viola and has already been scouted by the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that United made a €28m bid in the last few days as they step up their interest.

Chelsea are also believed to be interested and could be particularly likely to make a move if Antonio Conte is appointed as manager.

However, the report warns that La Viola have no intention of selling Bernardeschi and are unlikely to let him go for anything below €40m.
