Inter President Erick Thohir is reportedly considering selling the club to put an end to his financial losses.

The Indonesian took over as Nerazzurri owner in 2013 from Massimo Moratti but reports today suggest he could be willing to leave already.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Thohir has told Goldman Sachs not only to look for potential investors in the club, but also for potential buyers.

The newspaper believes that the Indonesian’s investment hasn’t gone as hoped and he’s looking for a minority shareholder to help provide some of the club’s capital.

However, the outlet believes it’ll be difficult for him to find a partner who will be willing to put money into a business without much chance of making it back.

Therefore, his plan B is reportedly to sell his 70 per cent majority stake in Inter. The newspaper contacted the Nerazzurri for a comment and were turned away.

They claim that a source inside the club has denied that Goldman Sachs were told to look for a buyer, but then question why an investment banking firm has been trusted with the task rather than a sports marketing agency.
