Inter have officially confirmed the appointment of Giovanni Gardini as their new Chief Football Administrator.
The move was expected, as reports emerged last week that the former Verona director would be making the move to San Siro.
“F.C. Internazionale are pleased to confirm that Giovanni Gardini is to join the Nerazzurri as Chief Football Administrator,” a statement on the Nerazzurri’s website announced.

“Gardini’s main responsibilities in this new role will cover sport institutional relations, player transfer administration and oversight of the sport secretariat.
“He will start in his new position at the Club on 1 March 2016 working alongside the technical side led by Piero Ausilio in his role as Chief Sports Oficer. Both will report directly to Inter Chief Executive Oficer, Michael Bolingbroke.”
