There is “no crisis” for Napoli or Italian sides in Europe, assured Juventus boss Max Allegri.

The Partenopei crashed out of the Europa League to Villarreal and are without a win in four competitive matches.

Fiorentina were also eliminated by Tottenham, while Roma and Juve’s qualification is in the balance in the Champions League. Is it therefore a crisis for Serie A sides on the continent?

“In Italy we go from one extreme to the other. Let’s not talk about a Napoli crisis, as they only lost with us, drawing with Milan and Villarreal,” said Allegri in his Press conference.

“They are one point behind us, so it is hardly a crisis. When Italian teams play against opponents like Tottenham, Villarreal, Galatasaray, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, they are very even clashes and you can win or lose.

“There are only three teams who tend to go all the way to the semi-finals in Europe: Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The fourth tends to vary year on year.”
