President James Pallotta landed in Rome and declared that Francesco Totti 'will stay with Roma a long time'.

The team from the capital is returning to good form, with six wins in the last six games, but the controversies over the captain's exclusion have taken the spotlight.

Pallotta arrived in Rome this morning and is expected to tackle a number of issues related to the club's management, such as the question of whether sporting director Walter Sabatini will leave the club at the end of the season, the new stadium, and what role director Bruno Conti is to play in the future.

Above all, however, the President is expected to meet with Totti and discuss his prospects with the club.

“Why, did anything happen?” said Pallotta upon landing, playing dumb with the reporters. “Everybody is trying to mount a case about Totti, but he'll stay with Roma for a long time. I love him!”

According to Calciomercato.it, however, he refused to answer the question of whether he'll be staying specifically as a player.

“I always meet Sabatini when I'm here. I'll stay about a week, at the end of which there will be news about the stadium.

“[Coach Luciano] Spalletti is fantastic and I'm very happy for the team.”
