Niang is believed to have been eating in a restaurant with his girlfriend before heading off to go bowling around 1.30am, when he lost control and smashed into a wall.

The police tested the youngster for alcohol but he was cleared, although the news doesn’t look good for his recovery time.

Gazzetta believes that although there is still no certainty about how long Niang will be out, it appears likely that he could face up to two months out.

The forward will reportedly fly to Amsterdam next week for medical tests, when the length of his spell on the sidelines will become clearer.
