Now the Times is claiming that the Blues are willing to exploit a €40m [£31m] clause in Pjanic’s contract to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

It’s believed that Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has made contact with Pjanic’s entourage, and are willing to offer wages of around €76,000 per week.

The newspaper believes expected new manager Antonio Conte has personally requested Pjanic, as the Italy CT is expected to replace Guus Hiddink after Euro 2016.
