Coach Edy Reja is pleased with Atalanta in spite of their 2-0 loss to Juventus: 'They had real trouble against us'.

“We were after a victory that was never going to be easy against Juventus,” Reja told the Press. “If I look at what we did in the first half, I can see that the Bianconeri had trouble.

“We were after a victory that was never going to be easy against Juventus,” Reja told the Press. “If I look at what we did in the first half, I can see that the Bianconeri had trouble.
“We conceded a goal on a corner kick, while the second one came after a double rebound. I'm happy with our second half. Clearly, from 31 points downwards in the standings, all the teams are in danger [of relegation]. There's going to be a real melee.
“We've been waiting for a victory for a while now. We really paid for our mistake on the 1-0. I wouldn't say that Juventus gave us any more trouble than we expected.
“We tried to keep the game alive until the end. We certainly didn't lack our opportunities, in spite of playing against a team of such high value.”
Reja said before the game that he would walk by foot until the town of Gorizia if he won.
“It would have been difficult, but I'd have been pleased to do it. It wouldn't have been a sacrifice.
“I waited to field [Alessandro] Diamanti because he had some muscular trouble in his thighs. He spent six months without a game and then played three matches in a row. I never meant to field him from the very beginning. I knew he'd be decisive in the end because he has the right moves.
“[Marco] Borriello had a good game. We must make sure we're all in a good condition in order to reach our objective.”
