Alessio Cerci thanked his Genoa fans in what looked like a veiled attack against his previous supporters at Milan.
The 28-year-old was loaned from Atletico Madrid to the Rossoneri last summer, but his disappointing performances led to him being loaned again to the Granata.
On from a strong performance against Empoli on Sunday, including an assist for Luca Rigoni's only goal, Cerci posted a photo and a polemical comment on Instagram.
“I return on Instagram to post today's picture, taken during a beautiful Sunday inclusive of Genoa's victory,” reads the comment.
“This is because I'm keen to thank the Rossoblu supporters, who are genuine fans, of the type that give you back your never-say-die spirit.”
Cerci previously ceased all activity on social networks due to the hateful comments he kept receiving from Milan fans.
