A Cristian Brocchi-Marcello Lippi coaching team is reportedly still being considered by Milan to succeed Sinisa Mihajlovic.
A 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo on the weekend has sparked speculation that the Serbian will leave at the end of the season, with Sassuolo’s Eusebio Di Francesco and Bologna’s Roberto Donadoni tipped as possible successors.
However, Corriere della Sera reports today that the idea of promoting Primavera Coach Brocchi to the first team post is still alive.
The newspaper writes that President Silvio Berlusconi is very close with the former midfielder and appreciates his attacking football.
The idea of Marcello Lippi coming to the club to team up with Brocchi is still being considered according to the report, although much will depend on how strongly Mihajlovic finishes the season at San Siro.
