Inter Coach Roberto Mancini denies a future move to Bologna, while hoping Mario Balotelli can 'return to prominence'.

The Nerazzurri will be up against one of the most successful defences in Serie A tomorrow evening at 19:45.

The Felsinei are viewed as a team where Mancini may potentially retire, as he is already personally acquainted with their President Joey Saputo.

“Yes, I met him because we had a friend in common,” he told the Press. “I'm pleased that he took over Bologna. They've been through some difficult times and it's good that he wants to take them back to higher levels.

“Me to Bologna? I go there every week! We'll see what happens. Some people say I'm finished as a Coach, but I have many years ahead of me.”

“Their team found the right form, with young players that have a great future ahead of them. They picked themselves back up and now they've resolved their psychological problems.

“When the team defends they do so well. They allow no spaces and it's tough to score a goal against them. They have [Mattia] Destro and [Emanuele] Giaccherini in the attack, and they're dangerous.”

Mancini then went on to discuss individual players, including his own Jeison Murillo and Stevan Jovetic, and his former protege Mario Balotelli, now at Milan.

“Jeison is fine, he has no trouble. Stevan is still suffering from that thigh strain, it will take some time. I hope he'll be ready after the break, but I believe he'll have to skip Roma too.

“As for Balotelli, to be honest it's been a while since I last saw him play. We're all hoping he'll go back to being a prominent player, the way he was a few years ago.

“I'll speak with Miranda about his international call-up, I don't know what Brazil's plans are. I think it's unlikely that Joan can play in the Olympics, he needs some holidays before the championship.

“[Sampdoria's Roberto] Soriano? I think he has greater experience compared to Marcelo [Brozovic]. He certainly has his strengths. But Brozovic has a great future ahead of him, he runs a lot and he will develop.”
