Milan striker M’Baye Niang underwent surgery today for an ankle injury sustained during a car accident.
The club released a statement confirming he had the operation under the knife of Professor Niek Van Dijk today.
Niang had the ligament sutured and small fragments of cartilage were removed.
The forward will visit for another check-up in five weeks’ time.
It was already confirmed in an earlier visit that Niang will be out for the rest of the season.
