Gigi Buffon has beaten Dino Zoff’s record and is now just four minutes away from becoming Serie A’s greatest goalkeeper.

Juventus already made history this evening in the 1-0 win over Sassuolo by becoming the first side ever to maintain 10 consecutive clean sheets.

Buffon is unbeaten in Serie A for 926 minutes of football, surpassing Zoff’s record from the 1970s of 903 minutes.

The only remaining target is Sebastiano Rossi on 929 minutes, set with Milan in the 1990s.

As this does not include stoppages, Buffon needs to not concede for the first four minutes of next week’s Derby della Mole against Torino to set a new all-time Serie A record.
