Mainz defender Giulio Donati reveals he wants a return to Serie A and “wouldn’t think twice” if called by Napoli.
The 26-year-old has been in Germany since Inter sold him to Bayer Leverkusen in July 2013 and went to FSV Mainz 05 in January.
“There was something with Napoli, Riccardo Bigon talked about me, but nothing concrete happened and the director changed,” Donati told Radio CRC.

“I’d love to come back to Italy and Napoli is such a great club. If I were to receive a call from Napoli, I wouldn’t think twice, as it’s an ideal solution for me.
“Maurizio Sarri reminds me of Jose Mourinho, who was a master at creating the right atmosphere with everyone, seeking the right mix of people on and off the field.”
