“Today we started well and had several chances to take the lead, but after their goal it was a tough psychological blow.
“Fortunately my lads reacted the right way and were able to get the game back on track.
“We are not safe from the threat of relegation yet and must continue to pick up points. The climb up the mountain is not complete.”
Massimo Maccarone was visibly irritated at his substitution and kicked some water bottles on his way to the bench.
“I understand him,” added Giampaolo. “He was angry because he cares and never rests on his laurels, but I have to make choices for the good of the team.
