Ever Banega’s move to Inter will still go ahead despite triggering an automatic renewal clause on the weekend, say reports.

The Argentina international has a clause in his contract that says he automatically receives an extra year on his contract after reaching 30 appearances for the season.

The midfielder hit that target on the weekend, but Tuttosport reports today that the Nerazzurri should still secure the playmaker.

The newspaper writes that in similar cases, sporting justice bodies have tended to rule in favour of the player.

Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo announced yesterday that Banega would stay, but his future remains unclear.
