“When I meet fans they always ask about Lavezzi. He was everyone’s dream signing for June and it would’ve been a very strong possibility.
“If he hadn’t gone to China, the idea of picking him up on a free transfer would have been concrete.”

There continue to be reports that Inter are tracking Sassuolo star Berardi, should Juventus not take up their option to buy.
“Berardi is an interesting player, you can’t say we don’t like him, but there are reasons to say it is almost impossible to sign him seeing as he is headed to Juventus.
“As for Roberto Mancini, we have said so many times already that he will be on the Inter bench next season. There has never been a problem in that sense and it never will be.”
