The Brazilian was reportedly the subject of a €50m offer from the Old Trafford side.
“Since I was a little boy, I had this dream of playing in Italy,” the 22-year-old told Magazine Serie A.
“In 2012 I had the chance to join Lazio, in 2013 that became the objective, that was my dream to play for Lazio.
