“It is right that we get jeered by our fans and have to apologise in front of the Curva. When it was needed, the fans applauded, but today we deserved this reaction because we were disastrous.
“There is a reason why we are bottom of the table, so we deserve to get relegated. Today all our limitations became crystal clear – some of the Verona players don’t belong in Serie A, so obviously we’re going to go down.
“All we can focus on from now on is to not be as embarrassing as we were today.”
