The central defender, currently on loan from Atletico Madrid, is believed to have been targeted by Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but the Nerazzurri view him as an essential component of their team and are extremely reluctant to part ways with him.

The central defender, currently on loan from Atletico Madrid, is believed to have been targeted by Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but the Nerazzurri view him as an essential component of their team and are extremely reluctant to part ways with him.

Miranda was given the captain's armband on Saturday, during the game against Roma. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the decision was part of an effort to keep him in the city of Milan.

Should Inter fail to persuade Miranda to stay, they will attempt to earn a larger sum than the €11m that they would have to pay Atletico Madrid to buy him outright from his current loan.
