Panathinaikos Coach Andrea Stramaccioni is the favourite to take over Atalanta from Edy Reja next season.

A 2-0 victory over Bologna saved Reja’s job for the moment, but he is not expected to remain in 2016-17.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Atalanta director of sport Gabriele Zamagna was in Greece for talks with current Panathinaikos tactician Stramaccioni.

His contract with the Greek club is set to expire in June, although there is a clause allowing a renewal if both parties are in agreement.
