According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Lupi may target Atalanta goalkeeper Sportiello as a possible replacement for loanee Wojciech Szczesny, who will probably return to Arsenal.

Originally the plan was to swoop for Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who plays for Internacional, but his signing may be delayed by his international duties and the Olympics.

Roma are also looking to Ansaldi for the wings, as the full-back is impressing with Genoa. He is currently owned by Zenit St Petersburg, but is on loan with the Grifone.

Finally, there is the case of Kostas Manolas, who is being targeted by Chelsea. Apparently the Greek defender may leave should his team fail to qualify for next year's Champions League, but Roma are trying to keep that from happening as they want to avoid another loss like that of Mehdi Benatia two years ago.
