Reports say Roma have held talks with Kostas Manolas for an improved contract amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Greece international’s current deal is due to expire in 2019 but he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Corriere dello Sport reports today that the defender and his representatives have already held a meeting with sporting director Walter Sabatini for a new deal.

Corriere dello Sport reports today that the defender and his representatives have already held a meeting with sporting director Walter Sabatini for a new deal.

The newspaper believes there will be no extension but the discussion was about raising the 24-year-old’s current salary, which is around €1.5m per season.  

The Lupi have no intention of selling Manolas according to the report, but he is valued at around €30m.
