On Sunday it’s the Derby della Capitale, but both Roma and Lazio fans are boycotting it because of barriers in the stands.

“All this is happening because the Americans don’t give a damn about Roma,” Maria Sensi told Radio Radio.

“Under our Presidency we had the 10th biggest crowd in Europe between season ticket holders and spectators.

“The fans are fed up, you haven’t even seen banners since the start of the protest against Pallotta. I saw the game with Inter, the stadium was silent and without colours, it was so sad.

“I remember the derbies I went to with my husband, we used to have fun. Now everything has changed. It’s scandalous that people have to pay €60 for a ticket in the Distinti section.

“I think the fans are fed up of these owners and the detachment is due to the continual sale of champions. They look as if they’ve come here to let the club be run on its own revenue, but we could’ve done that too.

“There’s a sense of disinterest coming through from the patrons. Just look at the issue of the barriers. We could’ve sat round a table to avoid all this, but evidently they don’t care very much.”
