The Bianconeri are believed to have already contacted the Russian club to discuss terms, but Witsel may prefer the Roman destination as he would return to his former Coach Luciano Spalletti.

However, English source The Sun on Sunday reports that the 27-year-old's final destination may end up being the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have entered the fray with an offer of €25m for the Belgian.
