The former Roma centre-back has been strongly linked with the Bianconeri recently as they consider reinforcements for the summer.

Tuttosport writes today that Benatia is the club’s principal defensive target and that they have already drafted an agreement with the player for next season.

The newspaper believes the deal would be structured for an initial loan with the 28-year-old then signing permanently the following summer for around €23m.

This is the same figure that Bayern will owe Juve to complete the signing of on-loan forward Kingsley Coman.

Benatia is a Morocco international and has scored one goal in nine appearances for Bayern during an injury-plagued season.
