Fiorentina have reportedly refused to pay Yohan Benalouane’s wages after he arrived from Leicester City injured.

The defender was a last-minute signing on transfer deadline day, coming on loan with an option to buy.

However, Benalouane has not been able to play a single minute of football, as he has been injured since joining the Viola.

Because the transfer was so late in the day, he was unable to undergo a medical before signing the paperwork.

According to the Corriere Fiorentino newspaper, the Tuscan club has now refused to pay any more of Benalouane’s wages for the remainder of his loan spell.

The bill goes back to Leicester City, who reportedly have agreed to pay up.
