Reports say Carlo Ancelotti phoned Roma’s Miralem Pjanic to try and convince him of a move to Bayern Munich.

The former Milan boss will take over from Pep Guardiola at the Bavarian club this summer and wants to bring the Bosnia-Herzegovina international with him.

The midfielder has been linked with a number of top clubs around Europe, and Leggo writes today that Ancelotti has already spoken to Pjanic on the phone about a move.

German scouts have also been following the 26-year-old for the last few weeks, according to the newspaper.

The report says there have still been no official offers, but warns that the Bavarians wouldn’t have a problem with meeting Pjanic’s €38m release clause.

The playmaker has been in sensational form for the Lupi this season, contributing 10 assists and nine goals in 29 Serie A appearances.
