The mediation by Galatioto Sports Partners had sped up the process of the club's sale, to the point that the Chinese acquisition of 70 per cent of the shares for €400m was estimated to take place in two months at most.

However, the Corriere della Sera reports of a slowing down of the process, as Berlusconi is still uncertain about leaving the club in someone else's hands.

Reports suggest that he explained his doubts to some private acquaintances at yesterday's Salone del Mobile event, and his skepticism percolated to the Press.

These delays are nothing new for Milan, as attempts to sell the club through broker Bee Taechaubol suffered continuous setbacks and eventually came to nothing.
