Milan will reportedly make a second attempt to sign Moussa Sissoko this summer if Newcastle United are relegated.
The Magpies are currently in serious relegation trouble in the Premier League, occupying 19th place and two points away from safety.
Calciomercato.com writes that Sissoko is an old target for the Rossoneri as they had an ongoing negotiation for the midfielder last summer before refusing to meet Newcastle’s €18m demands.
However, the outlet believes the situation could now change as relegation for Rafa Benitez's side would see Sissoko’s transfer fee lower.
The France international has asked his agent to find him a new club in the last few weeks despite having a contract until 2019, says the report.
Milan could face competition for the 26-year-old’s signature, with West Ham believed to be current frontrunners.
